Well before we get started it's better we get to know how Bata started, where and when is came to Kenya. Bata (also known as Bata Shoe Organization)is a family-owned global footwear and fashion accessory manufacturer and retailer with acting headquarters located in Lausanne, Switzerland. Organized into three business units: Bata Europe, based in Italy; Bata Emerging Market (Asia, Pacific, Africa and La tin America), based in Singapore, and Bata Protective (worldwide B2B operations), based in the Netherlands, the organization has a retail presence of over 5200 retail stores in more than 70 countries and production facilities in 18 countries.
Bata Shoes was founded on 24th August 18 1894 in Zlin (Morovia today Czech Republic) by Tomas Bat'a, his brother Antonin and his sister Anna. whose family had been cobblers for generations. The company employed 10 full-time employees with a fixed work schedule and a regular weekly wage, a rare find in its time.
In 1914, with the outbreak of World War I, the company had a significant development due to military orders. From 1914 to 1918 the number of Baťa’s employees increased ten times. The company opened its own stores in Zlín, Prague, Liberec, Vienna and Pilsen, among other towns.
In 1933 – 1934, a group of Bata employees came to Kenya from Europe and started buying hides for the factory in Czechoslovakia and in 1935 Bata Shoe Company Kenya (K) Ltd, under the name East African Bata Shoe Company was established in Mombasa to import Shoes from Zlin and sell in the local Market
In 1938 small soap factory building was hired in Mombasa and the production of rubber and canvas footwear started.
In 1940 the factory moved to its current location in the pleasant green highlands of Limuru.
In 1965 the boots that Say you Know Africa "Safari boots" start being produced. Safari has since grown in leaps and bounds.

In 1970 Bata East Africa Shoe Company Ltd changed its name to Bata Shoe Company (Kenya) Ltd.
In 1975 Bata Kenya opened a full fledged tannery, enabling it make leather shoes from scratch. Previously, leather was imported and In 1983 Bata Kenya opened its first wholly owned store, Bata Nairobi Two ( Bata Hilton) , paving the way for company owned stores. Previously, Bata was running only franchises and dealerships.
In 2002 the company came up with the ‘new arrivals every week’ strategy. To date, you will find a new shoe every week in Bata stores.
In 2012 Bata Home , the online selling and home delivery service was officially launched.Now Bata Kenya has grown to a network of 130 stores countrywide, with several dealer outlets and supplying the East African region.

There you go guys sneakers that real caught my eye from Bata Kenya Store. I don't know if I really missed any but you have to know this Bata Kenya does not have a lot of sneakers to choose from, actually they are really on working office shoes and school shoes and actually in Kenya you have to get the Bata Toughees so that you get in school. Some schools are even strict on this.
